    Notes:

*Multicast works only if your network supports multicast. Multicast detection tools include the Internet2 Detective and the Multicast Technologies tester. If you don't have multicast capability, you may want to consider a multicast tunnel, such as this one.

†VBrick: The free StreamPlayer is incompatible with Windows Media Player 9 installed on your computer. Forward error correction is not supported; the link must be loss free.

‡VRVS: Polycom FX with recent firmware (4.2) can not decode the legitimate H.261 video produced by VIC (all intraframes).

++RealOne Player plug-ins are required to view the Starbak RealOne stream: Follow these directions to install two plug-ins (Windows PC directions):

    • Open your RealPlayer and in the menu select Help : About RealOne Player.
    • When the About window pops up, click the button, Check for Update.
    • A selection of multimedia plug-ins will appear. Scroll down and check-off both H.261 Video Plug-in Support and H.263 Video Plug-in Support.
    • Select Install.
    • Close your RealPlayer.
    • Go to the Starbak link above.
