Session Abstract This session focuses on Internet2’s initiative, U.S. Unified Community Anchor Network (U.S. UCAN), whose mission is to promote the adoption of advanced networking and applications by community anchor institutions (CAI), including schools, libraries, public media, healthcare, public safety, museums, and government. During the session, participants will hear a brief overview of U.S. UCAN, including recent activities and near term plans and strategies. This session will also include a panel of U.S. UCAN stakeholders who will discuss how the research and education networking community can expand their impact in their communities by sharing advance networking resources, including best practices and successful models to help foster advanced networking in community anchors.
