Hotel Information for Demonstrators
The Fall 2007 Internet2 Member Meeting will be held at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center from 8-11 October. The hotel address is:

Town and Country Resort and Convention Center
500 Hotel Circle North
San Diego, CA 92108

Telephone: 619-291-7131
Fax: 619-291-3584

Demonstrators are responsible for paying for their own rooms and should book their own rooms through the hotel. The conference hotel rate is still available on a first come, first served basis. Call now to reserve your room! Click here for more info.

For travel information, please refer to the hotel and travel page.

Badges and Registration
All demonstrators are required to register for the meeting. Please contact Elaine Lauerman so she can provide you with a special registration code to use when filling out the online registration form. This code ensures that you will not be charged the registration fee.

When you arrive at the Town & Country Resort, you will receive a demonstration badge, which you will be required to wear. Demonstration badges will be distributed to all demonstrators at the Internet2 registration desk at the hotel. In order to ensure that a badge will be waiting for you, and for all members of your demo team, please make sure to have each individual register for the meeting. Please wear your badge at all times during the meeting, and also during setup and breakdown.

IP Addresses
Elaine Lauerman will be supplying IP addresses for demoers in a separate email.

Signage, Handouts, and Printing
Internet2 will provide a sign identifying your demo. Because space is rather limited in the demo area, we'd prefer you didn't bring additional signs of your own. A description of your demo will be included in a handout distributed to visitors at SDSC. Text for this handout will be pulled from the Fall 2007 Member Meeting demos web page. You are encouraged to bring additional handouts as well. If you need to do any printing in San Diego, our SDSC contacts have recommended the following print shop (which delivers to campus):

A Copy World
http://www.acopyworld.com/
Mary Matson
(619) 275-5560
mmatson@acopyworld.com

If you have any questions about signage or handouts for the demos, or if you want to update your information on the Fall 2007 Member Meeting demos web page, please contact Susan Topol.

What to Wear
Business casual attire for the demonstrations, meeting sessions, and receptions is appropriate.

Equipment Tear Down
Please note that your demo equipment must be packed and removed from the demo exhibit area by 11:00am on Thursday, 11 October.

Shipping and Receiving
Please note that due to construction at the SDSC facility, a few special considerations need to be kept in mind as you plan your shipping. Freight carriers will need to provide and operate their own pallet jack for offloading merchandise.  To reduce the risk of injury to drivers and damage to merchandise, delivery trucks should not offload facing west with the lift gate pointed downhill. We recommend that you back-up towards our temporary receiving area on the north side of the SDSC building. Recommended Delivery Vehicles: Bobtail trucks with operating lift gates since there is little room to reverse or turn around larger 18-wheel vehicles.

Delivery Hours:  Monday thru Friday 8:30-4:30 PM., excludes UCSD Holidays and weekends.
