Spring 2005 Internet2 Member Meeting
Netcast Information

Internet2 uses our meetings to showcase advanced networking video streaming technologies. Below are links to generally available streams, and streams that require high-performance networks. Please visit the downloads section before the event to test your network's streaming capabilities.

At the Spring Meeting, Internet2 will deliver two simultaneous live streams from the meeting.

Note: Multicast works only if your network supports multicast. For more information about multicast, visit the Internet2 Multicast Working Group. Multicast detection tools include the Internet2 Detective and the Multicast Technologies tester.

Experimental:

The primary netcast will also be available via Conference XP for Windows XP platforms.
Notes:

  • Download Conference XP at http://www.conferencexp.net/,
  • After installation, select "Internet2 3.0" venue.
  • A Multicast reflector is available at: reflector.learningwebservices.com

This service is experimental. ConferenceXP is an initiative of Microsoft Research. We’re exploring how to make wireless classrooms, collaboration, and distance learning a compelling, rich experience by assuming the availability of emerging and enabling technologies, such as high-bandwidth networks, wireless devices, Tablet PCs, and the advanced features in Microsoft® Windows® XP. Any questions may be directed to Bob Riddle, Internet2 Technologist.
