Session Abstract This session will explore the evolution of localized and often isolated institutional collections into an international cyber-infrastructure enabling access to high quality digital collections and resources over federated environments. The speakers will discuss integration of grid technologies for digital repositories and libraries. Topics include; contrasting and comparing global file systems and storage resource broker for mirroring and sharing assets and metadata over data grids, and computational grid algorithms for audio/video transcoding, search, feature extraction and data mining. Panel participants have not yet been determined but may include representatives from CESNET, DAME, SRB, etc.
