Members of the media are invited to attend the Internet2 Spring 2004 Member Meeting, held April 19 - 21, 2004 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Va., right outside of Washington, D.C. Internet2, a consortium led by more than 200 leading U.S. universities working with government and industry, develops and deploys advanced network applications and technologies through integrated innovation for research and higher education to create a faster, more reliable, and more secure Internet.

The Internet2 Spring 2004 Member Meeting highlights Internet2's partnerships between academia, industry, government, and the international community. Key topics covered during the Spring 2004 meeting include cyberinfrastructure initiatives, cooperative funding arrangements among federal agencies, global e-science collaborations, security on high-performance networks, as well as presentations of advanced applications underway on member campuses, deployment of middleware capabilities, and advancements in the K-20 community.
