List of Registrants

Internet2 Commons Site Coordinator Training was held immediately following the Fall 2002 Internet2 Member Meeting in Los Angeles. Successful completion of this training certified each participant as an Internet2 Commons Site Coordinator. Each university that wishes to participate in the Internet2 Commons worldwide videoconferencing service must designate a qualified campus site coordinator.

The training ran Wednesday, October 30 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. PST and continued Thursday, October 31 from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST. The training took place at the Wilshire Grand Hotel. The agenda for the training can be found here.

This training was taught by nationally recognized professionals in digital videoconferencing. Hands-on training with equipment was included. Some of the training topics included:

  • Audio and video basics
  • Room/environments conditions for videoconferences
  • Operating and troubleshooting procedures common to videoconferencing systems

This Commons Site Coordinator training was sponsored by Internet2 and CENIC. There was no fee for this training, but separate registration was required.
