Internet2 events provide unique opportunities for representatives across our diverse community to meet in person. Participants represent the complete spectrum of Internet2 membership including university, corporate, and affiliate members, as well as international partners.
In 2013 Internet2 is transitioning from twice-yearly Member Meetings to a new annual meeting format. The first Internet2 Annual Meeting convened research and education (R&E) leaders from institutions around the world in an environment of open engagement, free exchange, partnership and collaboration. This forum, designed to support advancements in R&E, spur innovation, and accelerate global discovery, provides a toolkit for community leaders to confront organizational, national, and global challenges in new ways. The recent Focused Technical Workshop on Network Issues in Life Sciences Research features outstanding speakers including Dan Maltbie (Annai Systems), Michelle Munson (Aspera), Martin Swany (Indiana University), Steve Tuecke (Globus Online), and Jason Zurawski (ESnet), all part of a panel discussing Data Movement Architecture and Tools for Life Sciences. Check out the agenda and session details and get in on the ground floor of the next developments!
